What is LoanSystems.com?
LoanSystems.com
is an Internet-based loan management and
communication program designed with one goal in mind to
dramatically increase your pipeline and streamline the loan
origination process. It can be used to compliment any system
you use or as a stand-alone loan management system. It's
easy-to-use, Fannie Mae compliant, doesn't require any
downloads or special software, and can be accessed securely
anywhere there's a computer with Internet access.
LoanSystems.com provides Loan Originators with the
ability to provide online 1003's to all of their real estate
business associates. When a new Free User Account is
created, LoanSystems.com
automatically creates and e-mails the
new user their personalized 1003 and Pre-qual Request links.
When
the 1003 or Pre-qual request links are clicked on, they open a
1003 or Pre-qual request form in the user's Internet browser
(Internet connected is required). When submitted, the
1003's and Pre-qual requests go directly to the user that
created the account and/or their designee (i.e. Loan
Processor, etc.), and also allow them to see which user the
1003 and Pre-qual requests are associated with.
LoanSystems.com
allows all concerned parties to track the
step-by-step progress of a loan from beginning to end, thereby
reducing stress, eliminating phone tag, and facilitating
effective communication. A secure, password-protected,
online environment allows everyone involved to securely share
vital information and updates, or important requests. A
Summary View and Loan View provide users with a quick overview
and detailed loan information.
What
is a Loan Originator?
A Loan Originator is a Paid User that receives their own
1003's or Pre-qual Requests and either personally process the
loans or designates who will receive and process the loans.
Loan Originators are typically Loan Officers, but can also be
Lenders, Brokers, Real Estate Agents, and Loan Processors.
What
is a Paid User?
Paid User Accounts are for Users that originate loans
(receive 1003's and Pre-qual requests). Paid User
Accounts are $39 per month.
Paid Users are typically Lenders, Brokers, and Loan Officers.
Real Estate Agents and Processors that wish to originate loans
(receive their own 1003's and Pre-qual requests) must be
designated as Paid Users.
Lenders and Brokers are allowed to be designated as Free Users
if their use of LoanSystems.com is solely for the purpose of
tracking loans, and not for receiving 1003's and Pre-qual
requests. Loan Officers do not have this option.
What
is a Free User?
Free User Accounts are for Users that only view or update loan
information. Free User Accounts are not enabled to
receive their own 1003's or Pre-qual requests. Free User
Accounts must be created by a Paid User.
Free Users are typically Borrowers,
Real Estate Agents, Title Agents, Escrow Officers,
Underwriters, and Processors. Real Estate Agents and
Processors that wish to originate loans (receive their
own 1003's and Pre-qual requests) must be designated as Paid
Users.
Real Estate Agents and Processors that are Free Users can view
1003's and Pre-qual requests that are submitted, but these
must be received by a Paid User.
How
does a Loan Processor differ from a Free User?
Loan Processors that do not originate loans are Free Users.
They are the only Free Users that have Access Level 1. When a
Paid User creates a Loan Processor User Account, they can
designate whether or not they want the Loan Processor to
receive New 1003's and Pre-qual Requests that are submitted.
When a Loan Processor is designated to receive New 1003's and
Pre-qual Requests, when they log on they will have access to
the same information as the Paid User that created their
account. For Paid Users that have more than one Loan
Processor, more than one or all of them can be designated to receive
New 1003's and Pre-qual Requests that are submitted.
How secure is my information with
LoanSystems.com?
LoanSystems.com views
protecting your privacy and your data as top priorities. We
use 128-bit SSL security to protect the transmission of your
information anytime you're logged on. You will be required to
upgrade your browser to 128 bit security if you have not
already done so.
The two most important factors that provide for your privacy
and the security of your information are our use of 128-bit
SSL encryption anytime you're logged on, and our critical
selection of the most secure data center available to
host our data. See the following two questions for greater
detail.
What
is 128-bit SSL encryption, and why does LoanSystems.com use it?
The SSL security
protocol provides data encryption, server authentication,
message integrity, and optional client authentication for a
TCP/IP connection. SSL comes in two strengths, 40-bit and
128-bit, which refer to the length of the "session
key" generated by every encrypted transaction. The longer
the key, the more difficult it is to break the encryption
code. 128-bit encrypted messages are
309,485,009,821,345,068,724,781,056 times harder to break than
40-bit messages. LoanSystems.com uses the 128-bit
encryption, the strongest encryption available, regardless of
browser version.
We
also implement security patches as they become available and
have been determined to be stable so that our servers always
remain at a state-of-the-art (maybe high instead) level of
security.
Where
is my data hosted and archived?
LoanSystems.com is very discriminating
in its selection and use of a data center. This is because we
recognize that our client's data is like gold, only more
valuable. For this reason, LoanSystems.com selected MaximumASP as its host. The following details our
reasons for selecting MaximumASP:
- Physical
Security
MaximumASP's data center is both
physically and logically secure. It is protected 24x7x365
by internal and external cameras, which are monitored by
the Network Operations Center. The front door is protected
by a badge reader system and badge access is required to
enter the building. Before access to the actual data
center area is permitted, one must first pass through the
"man trap" area, which is a concrete hallway
protected with a badge reader for initial access and then
a biometric hand scanner, personal security code and a
camera to ensure physical and visual confirmation of
identity. This entire process is monitored 24x7x365 by the
Network Operations Personnel, and ONLY MaximumASP
Microsoft Certified Engineers have physical access to our
web server.
- Network
Security All of their servers sit behind
dedicated MaximumASP Firewalls and F5 BigIP Controllers
which constantly monitor and analyze all network traffic.
They have multiple security policies in place to assist in
the prevention of a network interruption in the event of a
malicious attack. They host B2B Intranets and Extranets
for a number of financial institutions, and their security
policies and procedures have been audited extensively by
several third-party organizations.
All sensitive customer data, even when being routed
internally behind a Firewall, is sent over encrypted
protocols.
- Power
All electrical
power from supplied by local utilities is fed to the data
center via three separate power grids. All electrical
connections are backed up using multiple Liebert UPS
battery backup systems in a N+1 configuration. In the
event of an extended outage, power is supplied to the
datacenter using a Catepillar 750Kva diesel generator
supplied with a 30 hour full capacity and a proactive
refueling contract with a local supplier.
- Internal
Network MaximumASP's
internal network is 100% hardware redundant, with dual
load-balanced network cards in every MaximumASP server,
connected to dual fail-over switches at all
multi-connection points within our network. The internal
network is connected to the outside world via two
fail-over F5 BigIP Enterprise Controllers. MaximumASP has
invested heavily in their network from the ground up to
make sure they have NO single point of failure. Firewalls
are implemented at the core router and internal network
level.
How long is my client's information archived on LoanSystems.com?
LoanSystems.com archives user information for three
years from the last update.
Who is responsible for updating LoanSystems.com?
LoanSystems.com must be updated by an authorized user. In most cases, the Loan Processor is
the most ideal person, but loans can also be updated by the
Lender, Broker, or Loan Officer. Other users (Loan Applicant,
Real Estate Agent, etc.) can place messages in the Notes
section, send e-mail messages, or update their contact
information.
Is
LoanSystems.com a Loan
Origination Program?
LoanSystems.com is not a Loan Origination Program. It
was designed to be used in conjunction with Loan Origination
Programs. LoanSystems.com enables the Loan Officer to
share non-sensitive information
with other's involved in the loan.
A secure, password-protected, online environment allows
everyone involved to securely share vital information and
updates, or important requests. few, if any Loan Origination
Programs work in this way.
How can a Broker add Loan Officers as
users?
New Loan Officers can be added at the Control Panel once the
Broker logs on.
Are
Real Estate Agents granted automatic access to their clients
loan information?
No. Real Estate Agents are not granted automatic access to
their client's loan information. The exception to this rule is
if the Real Estate Agent is also the Loan Originator. For a
Real Estate Agent to view the progress of their client's loan,
they must be added as a Principal by the Loan Officer.
This is for the clients privacy.
How
can a Loan Officer allow a person involved in the loan to view
its progress (i.e. Escrow, Title, etc.)?
Anyone other than the Borrower, Loan Broker, Loan Officer, and
Loan Processor must be added as a Principal to view loan
information. This can be done by going to the "Create or
Edit an Other User" option under User Manager on the
navigation menu. Only Paid Users and Loan Processors have
access to this option.
Can
a Principal be restricted from viewing loan information after
they've been added?
Yes. Any Principal other than the Borrower and Loan Officer
can be removed by clicking the "remove" link
adjacent to their name at the Loan View. Clicking on this link
will discontinue their access to the loan being viewed.
If
a new 1003 does not appear on my Summary View, what do I need
to do?
In order for new 1003's to appear in your Summary View, they
must first be imported into LoanSystems.com. New 1003's can
be viewed by going to "New 1003's" under 1003's on
the navigation menu. Clicking on the Borrower's Name will open
the 1003. Clicking on the "Import into LoanSystems.com" link will move the 1003 into your Summary
View.
Is
there any charge to export a loan out of LoanSystems.com and
into my Loan Origination Software?
No. 1003's can be exported as many times as necessary and no
fees are charged.
Is
there any way to back-up my data?
When you export your 1003's to your computer, you are
performing a back-up. Exported 1003's can be viewed in
any Loan Origination Software that uses Fannie Mae Desktop
Underwriter 3.2.
Can a Loan Officer use LoanSystems.com if their Broker
doesn't?
Yes. Any Loan Officer can use LoanSystems.com.
What happens to the loans being
tracked by LoanSystems.com if the Loan Officer or Broker
becomes delinquent with his or her monthly fee?
If a LoanSystems.com user becomes delinquent with his or
her monthly fee, no new 1003's (Loan Applications) will be able to be
imported by this user. Existing loans will be able to be
updated until funded or cancelled, and all users will continue
to have access to these loans.
Do all
LoanSystems.com users have the
same access to loan information?
There
are four Access
Levels for
LoanSystems.com
users. This feature was
designed to provide the needed access to certain key users,
while protecting delicate information from other users that
have no need to view certain loan details. The four
Access Levels are as follows:
- Access
Level 1
– Paid Users (Loan Originators) and
Loan Processors. This Access Level allows the user to
create Free and Paid User Accounts, update all loan
information, add Principals to loans, update notes, send
e-mail messages, and view cancellation explanations.
Access Level 1 users also are provided with Management
Tools (Contact Manager, Calendar, To Do List).
- Access
Level 2
– Lenders, Brokers, and Real Estate Agents
that have Free User Accounts (No Loan
Originating). This Access Level allows the user to view
all loan info, add Principals to loans, update notes, send
e-mail messages, and view cancellation explanations.
Access Level 2 users also are provided with Management
Tools (Contact Manager, Calendar, To Do List).
- Access
Level 3
– All other Free Users (Escrow Officers,
Underwriters, Title Agents, Appraisers, etc.). Their
Access Level allows the user to view only the top three
sections of the Loan View (Principals, Borrower’s Info,
Notes), update notes, and send e-mail messages.
- Access
Level 4
– Borrowers. When Borrowers log on to LoanSystems.com, they are taken directly to the Loan View.
This Access Level allows the user to view all loan info,
update notes, send e-mail messages, and view cancellation
explanations.
Is
LoanSystems.com difficult to use?
LoanSystems.com
was designed to maximize your productivity
without requiring you to learn a complex new computer program.
It's user-friendly, secure, and accessible wherever a computer
with Internet access is found.
LoanSystems.com was designed to automatically perform
numerous important tasks independent of the user. For
example, when an existing user creates a new User Account, an
e-mail message is automatically sent to the new user to
welcome them and explain how to log on and begin using LoanSystems.com.
When a Borrower completes a 1003, if they provide their e-mail
address, a Free User Account is automatically created and the
Borrower automatically receives access to view their loan's
progress. The E-mail Manager; My Loan Links;
and Instant Notification features will make LoanSystems.com one of your most valued and efficient business tools.
If the Borrower's e-mail
address is provided upon submitting the 1003, a Free User
Account is automatically created for the Borrower. The
Borrower is sent a welcome message with instructions on how to
view their loan's progress. The last four digits of the
Borrower's Social Security Number are assigned as their
temporary password. This Free User Account allows the
Borrower to view the progress of the loan each step of the way
and communicate with all involved parties. If the
Borrower's e-mail address is not provided upon submitting the
1003, or if the Borrower doesn't have an e-mail address, a
user account can be provided by the Loan Officer at any time.
When a
new Free User Account is created, the new user is
automatically e-mailed their personal links page which lists
their custom online 1003 and Pre-qual links and provides
instructions on how to place these links on their desktop or
on their website.
Additional FAQ's will be added in the
near future to assist LoanSystems.com users. If you have a

Help Section, please contact us at Support.
We will gladly respond as soon as possible.
